Old Village Chiropractic Services
Adjustments coupled with non-invasive adjunct therapies are the fastest way to restore homeostasis to the body to allow for it to heal. Through my experience to get out of pain & continue an active lifestyle, I have developed a technique that will promote healing and decrease downtime.

Adjustment Techniques
Each patient is different in what works best for them. Some of the common techniques I utilize are Diversified, Activator, Thompson & Gonstead. Mostly, I use a combination suitable to the patient for optimum results.

Moist heat & cold therapy
Moist heat is used in chronic conditions to increase circulation, which reduces pain, spasms & stiffness. It also prevents the build up of lactic acid in muscles, which can cause pain. Cold therapy is mostly used for acute sprains & strains.

Instruments Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
This works like a standard massage, but specialized instruments are used in place of my hands. These instruments allow more direct treatment of the soft tissues involved with movement. Benefits include faster pain relief, improved mobility, quicker rehab and recovery.

Dry Needling
This works like a standard massage, but specialized instruments are used in place of my hands. These instruments allow more direct treatment of the soft tissues involved with movement. Benefits include faster pain relief, improved mobility, quicker rehab and recovery.

Massage of the soft tissues improves circulation, reduces swelling and inflammation, & encourages quicker healing. To restore or to enhance joint function, I perform intentional movements, usually to a firm endpoint of joint motion to mobilize the joint.
Spinal Mobilzation

Pregnancy & Pediatric Chiropractic
Chiropractic care is critical for you to function at your highest peak. Whether you're 5 years old or 55, it is important at every stage along your journey. I am intentional with my touch and technique when treating pregnant patients or children. These are two unique and critical stages where non-invasive intervention is essential for optimal development and growth.

MyoFascial Disruption Technique
(MFDT)
Used in combination with adjustments, this approach to treating soft tissue injuries like sprained ankles, golf & tennis elbow quickly reduces recovery time. Soft tissue injuries are a result of a separation or a disruption of the fascia. Great for weekend athletes and professionals, alike.
COMMON TREATMENTS
Read below to learn about common treatments I practice to treat various conditions and symptoms.

Spinal Decompression
Nonsurgical spinal decompression is a type of motorized traction that may help relieve back, neck and leg pain.

Cervical Decompression
Decompression therapy applies a gentle and regulated stretching force to the neck in an effort to open disc spaces and create a negative pressure (vacuum) effect within the disc, which can help to draw nutrients, fluid, and/or bulging or herniated disc material back into the disc space where it belongs.

Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy is a noninvasive, traditional therapy for acute pain. It targets inflamed joints that can cause muscle spasms and pain; a cryotherapy session will constrict the blood vessels, helping alleviate inflammatory chemicals, and damaged nerve activity.

Moist Heat Therapy
Moist heat is known to improve mobility while reducing pain and soreness that may have been developed from exercise or sometimes chronic pain.

Laser Therapy
A Powerful Treatment for Pain. This medically advanced treatment reduces inflammation, and increases blood flow to the targeted areas.
Electrical Stimulation

This therapy is typically applied to a patient who has a lot of pain or spasm in the area of injury or complaint. When electrical muscle stimulation is performed, mild electrical current is applied to cause fast contraction to the muscles.

Massage Therapy
Massage is a holistic method of treating pain and discomfort while improving blood flow and relaxing the soft tissue. When used with chiropractic adjustments, it can prevent pain from developing in the first place.

MyoFascial Disruption Technique
Soft tissue refers to muscle, ligament, tendon, and other soft tissues that make up the musculoskeletal system. This system is often overlooked as the source of a person's pain. However, it has been proven that many pains that are chronic and previously thought to be associated with structures such as the spine or skeletal system.

Stretches
This is a chiropractic manipulation of soft tissue that incorporates directed and controlled constrictions tailored towards reducing back pain and improving musculoskeletal function.
